Again, not too hard, but harder than yesterday I guess.
Idk - one thing I will say to those doing the 30 day shred for the first time is DO persevere, the time you invest lasts for a long time and your overall fitness will be batter for it :)
Can any of you recommend any good yoga routines on YouTube for me?
I’m doing the 30 day shred but i want something chill I can maybe do after or in an evening :)

My body is achey from the past few days working out, of course, but jeeze this workout is seeming easier by the day.
I’m sure the first time I tried this I had sweat dripping from every inch of skin, now it’s more of a light dusting. I think this is partly due to the fact I’m not starting from day 1 of a fitness journey, don’t get me wrong I have gone backwards, but my body seems to have retained endurance and my cardio is way better than it used to be.
I’m also getting that feeling back of getting excited about my body becoming stronger rather than thinner, which is nice. I’m just really interested to see what I’ll look like when the 30 days are over, I mean I’m already on day 3 so I’m one tenth of the way there!
How are the rest of your shreds going? :)
Just did Day 2 of the 30 Day Shred, I reallllyyyy did not feel like doing it this morning, I felt SO grotty, like I had headaches and I felt a bit grungey and obviously my body was broken from yesterdays workout.
What got me to actually DO it was oddly enough not putting pressure on myself, instead of internally yelling at myself like a Jillian wanna-be I was like: “ok, you don;t feel so good now, do some work and eat some food and take a few hours, we’re going to do it today but you know, don’t be scared, it’s only 30 minutes out of your day, its no big deal.”
So I ate and drank and felt a little better and just casually did it. So Day 2 is done - I’ve also got this short term goal of reaching day 5, because I remember from last time day 5 is the day when the aching miraculously stopped and I started feeling fitter, so there’s that to look forward to.
In terms of the ACTUAL workout, it was poo. I hate working out >:C it is just hard and uncomfortable. HOWEVER it is waaay easier this time round than the first time I did the shred, so it’s cool that the workout is designed for longevity and lasting results…
afterwards though I looked for some yoga on YouTube to help with the warm down (Jillian does NOT do enough) and I did most of this one before I got sick of my own stanch and had a shower.

ok so as well all do I fell out of motivation for a LOOOooonnng ass time.
But I just did a level 1 30 day shred work out, and you know what I feel good about, the fact I didn’t psych myself up so much that I feel like if I don’t do it or struggle then I’m somehow a failure.
So with my new healthier, calmer, attitude towards excersise, shall we see if I can keep it up for 30 days? Then after that we’ll look for somewhere to go :)
Although, can anyone out there recommend a good relaxing yoga video on youtube or similar: I need it to wind down from Jillian because I always end up achey the next day - anyone?
When I got home yesterday my Mum remarked that I had lost weight, so this morning I got straight to my measuring tape and my spreadsheet and here’s whats happened!
Underbust: Original - 35” | When I left - 33.25” | Now - 32.5” | Lost: 2.5”
Waist: Original - 34” | When I left - 33.25” | Now - 32” | Lost: 2”
Hips: Original - 42.5” | When I left - 40.5” | Now - 40 1/8” | Lost: 2 3/8”
Thigh: Original - 26.5” | When I left - 26” | Now - 26” | Lost: 0.5”
Calf: Original - 17.5” | When I left - 17.25” | Now - 16.5” | Lost: 1”
Ankle: Original - 10.5” | When I left - 10.25” | Now - 9.5” | Lost 1”
I’m really thrilled at my progress so far, even to the point of not believing the measuring tape and having to check again!
My original goals were to lose 3 inches everywhere, but obviously with some of my net losses totaling 2.5 inches I think it is high time I moved the goal posts. My new goal is to have a net loss of 5 inches on my underbust, waist, hips and thighs, and three still on my calves and ankles.
I’m really excited!

Hi guys I’m back! How have you all been?
I’m going to be re-starting the 30 day shred as of tomorrow :D
I’m going away for 5 weeks as of tomorrow
So I’ll try to update you guys if/when I can, but it wont be often.
I’ll be back for sure, and I’ll keep up the diet - wish me luck, it’s gunna be hard with much food on-the-go
